There are 532 acres planted to this grape in Anderson Valley, with a growing interest in new plantings. A large percentage of Chardonnay from the Anderson Valley goes into our sparkling wines; however, several producers make gorgeous expressions of still wines from this Burgundian grape varietal. Seek out these wines and enjoy #grandcrucalifornia!
You’ll find that Chardonnay from the Valley is more citrus-driven, mineral, and racy from our cool climate region. The styles range from lighter wines fermented in stainless tanks to wines fermented with more barrel influence.
