Winemaker Dinner at Stoney Bottom

A Special Fundraiser for the Anderson Valley Winegrowers Association

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Lussier Wine Co. and Black Oak Ridge Winemaker Dinner at Stoney Bottom Inn in Boonville, a special fundraising event supporting the Anderson Valley Winegrowers Association (AVWA), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization. Proceeds from this intimate dinner will help fund planning efforts for Pinot Fest 2027.

This intimate dinner brings together winemaker G.W. Lussier and vintner Ludovic Lacourte, two collaborators whose lives are deeply rooted in the land with a shared passion and commitment for the Anderson Valley.

From a historic working homestead in St. Helena to a hillside ranch overlooking Anderson Valley, their shared love for the land, native animals and woodlands, shapes a thoughtful, hands-on approach to Pinot Noir. Together, they craft wines that reflect not just vineyard sites, but a way of life grounded in stewardship, patience, and connection to place.

The Winemaker Dinner Menu

The chef team at Stoney Bottom will prepare a relaxed, summer-inspired four-course dinner served in the garden, featuring local Mendocino Coast seafood. The menu highlights crisp seasonal vegetables, fresh greens and herbs, with bold, simple flavors. A variety of wines from both wineries will be paired perfectly with each course.

G.W. Lussier: Pinot Noir Shaped by Place

G.W. Lussier is a consulting winemaker working with a select group of brands, including his residency at the legendary Moshin Vineyards in Russian River Valley. His own label, Lussier Wine Co., reflects a deeply personal approach which is thoughtful, hands-on, and rooted in vineyard expression.

With a strong focus on Anderson Valley as a primary source for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Lussier crafts wines  that highlight the region’s nuance and balance from sites with higher elevation, including Golden Fleece, Roma’s Vineyard, Signal Ridge, and Mariah Vineyard. Each bottling is shaped by precision, and experience gained alongside some of California’s most respected Pinot Noir producers.

Ludovic Lu Lacourte: Pinot Noir Rooted in Elevation

With roots in eastern France and a deep appreciation for site-driven wines, Ludovic “Lu” Lacourte brings a European perspective to Anderson Valley. One that prioritizes vineyard expression, elevation, and patience in the cellar.

A true boutique label, with just ~250 cases, Black Oak Ridge reflects a close collaboration between Lacourte and Lussier, with a focus on high-elevation and site-specific Pinot Noir shaped by both vineyard perspective and winemaking craft. Lu’s first vintage was made from J. Wrigley Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA of the  Willamette Valley, offering him the opportunity to source fruit thoughtfully from Anderson Valley, ultimately gaining access from Golden Fleece and Roma’s Vineyard. Lu’s vision for Black Oak Ridge is to show his love and expression for higher elevation West Coast Pinot Noir.
