Meet Ludovic (“Ludo”) Lacourte, the newest face in our winemaking community. Ludo hails from a long line of vintners in Château-Chalon, a small village in France’s Jura region, where his family has crafted the world-renowned Vin Jaune for over a century.
After moving from France in 1975 and spending time in Montreal, New York, and Boston, Ludo eventually found his way to California in 2001, drawn by the familiar beauty of the land and climate that reminded him of home.
He planted a vineyard above Boonville, next to @romas.vineyard, joining the high-elevation AV vineyard club, with available lodging for those looking to enjoy the views.
Joining him in this new venture is G.W. Lussier, an award-winning winemaker known for his elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir, who brings expertise of Anderson Valley and a passion for small-lot, sustainably farmed wines.
Together, Ludo and G.W. form an inspiring team, creative and energetic, with a vision to craft wines that clearly speak of place and partnership.
