The Bordeaux grape varietal Sauvignon Blanc is a rarity for Anderson Valley, with only two vineyards growing it, both located in eastern Boonville. Although rare, the grape does well here due to longer ripening days complemented by cooler evenings that lead to good acidity.
Often with citrus, stone fruits, and melon, the wines produced are crisp and expressive. Some producers choose to use both stainless steel and older oak barrels.
